Laying Carpet Over Tile Floor

One problem we encountered after installing carpet over the tile floor was the pocket door to the bathroom.

Yes you can lay carpet over your tiles but you will need to fill in the grout lines in your tiles as in 6 months or so you will see the lines starting to come through the carpet. Instead of trying to fix it i decided to build a sliding barn door to go over. Tile can be laid over existing tile as long as the floor is in good condition with no loose or broken tile. Put a thin layer of half inch plywood on top of it or quarter inch ply as long as you can get a flat surface then you can go ahead and put new carpet over that or whatever you want to do.
